About this newsletter

I created this page to share stories and personal essays that touch on current news, events and topics with the intention to inform, educate and spark conversations. I’ve been a journalist for the last five years and have mainly covered local government and news, but have noticed that the Muslim and Arab communities I belong to are generally not reading much local news and have a deep mistrust with U.S. media because of past (and current) dehumanizing and inaccurate coverage. My intention with this newsletter is to try to share content that is relevant, of value or benefit to others who share my Muslim and/or Palestinian/Arab identities.
